These two began their love story in France, on one of Haileys’ many adventures. She’s from the states, but after meeting Thomas and falling in love, they started their new life together in France. They got married in the picturesque Chateau de Malliac, a wedding venue in Montreal, France. The Chateau is set on several acres of lush green land amongst vineyards and a rose garden. The classic French architecture of the Chateau was breathtaking and made this a beautiful place for these two to tie the knot!

GETTING READY AT THE CHATEAU

SAYING THEIR “I DO’S”

Their friends and family gathered at the Chateau from all over the world to witness these two get married (including Sophie, Haileys pup all the way from the U.S) who was front row at their ceremony!

The ceremony melded together many American and French traditions. The couple each had several friends in their bridal party, similar to American tradition. However, they also included two witnesses in their ceremony, which is a French tradition. They stood with them throughout the ceremony. Hailey and Thomas’ hometown is three hours away, and usually in France, the mayor of the town will marry you. Their mayor happily made the trip and facilitated a lovely ceremony.

croquembouche + DANCING UNDER THE MOONLIGHT

All the guests made their way to the reception space where they enjoyed a traditional French wedding cake. The croquembouche is a pyramid of vanilla cream filled pastry puffs.

After the cake was cut, Hailey and Thomas danced the night away with their family. French weddings can go all night long and this was no exception- the party ended around 8am!
